Performance evaluation of curved damper truss moment frames designed using equivalent energy design procedure

چکیده

Curved damper truss moment frame (CDTMF) system is a novel seismic force-resisting structural which utilizes the curved dampers integrated into semi-rigid to dissipate earthquake input energy. To ensure CDTMF has high performance, state-of art equivalent energy design procedure (EEDP) applied its design. EEDP allows engineers achieve different performance objectives at levels of shaking intensities. In this study, two prototype buildings (three and nine-story) were designed using EEDP. The was assessed nonlinear time history analysis (NTHA) incremental dynamic (IDA). results analyses demonstrate that CDTMFs can predefined targets (selected by designer) intensity levels. IDA also show sufficient margin against collapse. study in general confirm be used as an effective system.
